Description

Description of problem: In addition to Daniel, my selected background images is already changed back to default as soon as I go into overview/dash screen or change to a window on another virtual desktop. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): control-center-3.0.1.1-5.fc15 in F15 x86_64 installed yesterday evening from DVD with last installation of updates today (2011-06-15) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in to a gnome session with gnome-shell on 2. start control-center and change background from default to an arbitrary different one 3. move mouse to upper left corner Oh, mea culpa. I installed the tool Wallpapoz (wallpapoz.noarch : Gnome Multi Backgrounds and Wallpapers Configuration Tool) but did not configure or use it yet (so I forgot that I had it). It automatically changed the screen's background every time. Since I removed it, I have none of the mentioned problems anymore. I am experiencing this as well. Desktop Background resets to RedHat verne default and "scaled" everytime the workspace is changed. I have tried using gconf-editor, dconf-editor and the "System settings" panel. In all cases /home/stewar02/.gconf/desktop/gnom e/background/%gconf.xml gets overwritten when a workspace is changed to the default value. I do not have wallpapoz installed. Obviously something in the workspace switcher is picking up a default rather than querying my personal %gconf.xml This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.) More information and reason for this action is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping/Fedora19 This also affects x86_64 (In reply to Knut J BJuland from comment #5) > This also affects x86_64 The original request was fixed though. File a new bug with details of your setup, as the debug information is completely outdated here (we don't use GConf anymore for wallpaper settings since GNOME 3.0 was released). GNOME also uses the same background for all workspaces, so it's not the one changing the wallpaper by itself... |
