Description advax 2011-05-20 20:35:22 UTC
Description of problem:

The microcode for Intel and AMD chips included with the microcode_ctl package is out-of-date, and is never updated in RedHat updates.

Microcode is no longer being repackaged at http://www.urbanmyth.org/microcode/ since it is available from Intel directly.

This is not true either as bug 706534. All the supported by the Red Hat releases has the latest available microcode.
