The authentication change is not done:
- the patch is not applied (src.rpm was doublechecked)

Tested on RHEL 6.1 i/x on packages
qpid-cpp-*-0.10-4

Waiting for package set with fix.

- the patch applied
- client now behaves correctly according change description
