I've seen this too, trying to create repodata for CentOS 6 based on two loopback-mounted DVD images (CentOS 6.0 x86_64 DVD 1 and 2) mounted on subdirectories dvd1 and dvd2 of the current directory and running "createrepo -d ."

I rebuilt createrepo-0.9.9-4 from Rawhide and it appears to have resolved the problems I was having in F-15.
