Description Jaroslav Škarvada 2011-05-26 08:47:59 UTC
Description of problem:
My T500 no longer switch off after update to upstart-1.2-2

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
upstart-1.2-2.fc14.x86_64
upstart-sysvinit-1.2-2.fc14.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot
2. shutdown

Actual results:
It doesn't switch off and keeps running.

Expected results:
Switch off.

Additional info:
I did not have time to debug it, but it seems to stuck somewhere in USB, maybe it is also kernel related. The screenshot is attached. Downgrade to upstart-0.6.5-9.fc14.x86_64 and upstart-sysvinit-0.6.5-9.fc14.x86_64 resolved this issue for me.

The system switch off is no longer handled by halt command but by poweroff command. The USB warning is not related. Thanks Petr for prompt response.
