Description Richard Henderson 2011-05-26 14:19:06 UTC
Description of problem:
The new nm ignores the contents of the "Remember password for this session"
checkbox when connecting to a VPN.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
NetworkManager-0.8.999-2.git20110509.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an openvpn entry with blank password.
2. Connect to the vpn, enter the password, ensure "remember" is unchecked.
3a. Start nm-connection-editor, and edit the vpn entry; notice the non-blank pwd.
3b. Disconnect from the vpn, then reconnect. Notice the lack of password dialog.

Additional Info:
This makes connecting to a vpn using a one-time-password extraordinarily
difficult, as all subsequent attempts to connect will fail.

Yep, same problem here even on latest NetworkManager-0.8.9997-1.git20110531.fc15.x86_64

This looks to be a duplicate of 691618.

Following Bills comment 3: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691618#c3 solved this for me, or you can update to the specified version and recreate/reimport the connection.
