dupe: 707977 Dominick if you see it as a dupe, just close it as dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 707977 *** I do not think i am allowed to close other peoples bugs. Either that or i am missing something. Ok I will need to see how we allow that. |
SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/python from 'associate' accesses on the filesystem lock. ***** Plugin filesystem_associate (99.5 confidence) suggests *************** If you believe python should be allowed to create lock files Then you need to use a different command. You are not allowed to preserve the SELinux context on the target file system. Do use a command like "cp -p" to preserve all permissions except SELinux context. ***** Plugin catchall (1.49 confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that python should be allowed associate access on the lock filesystem by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep yum /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:object_r:pppd_t:s0 Target Context system_u:object_r:tmpfs_t:s0 Target Objects lock [ filesystem ] Source yum Source Path /usr/bin/python Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages python-2.7.1-7.fc15 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.16-24.fc15 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.38.6-27.fc15.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun May 15 17:23:28 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 1 First Seen Thu 26 May 2011 21:28:40 IST Last Seen Thu 26 May 2011 21:28:40 IST Local ID 544c3d3d-c7f2-47c2-b57d-f88eb7794353 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1306425520.69:1229): avc: denied { associate } for pid=9725 comm="yum" name="lock" dev=tmpfs ino=6247 scontext=system_u:object_r:pppd_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:tmpfs_t:s0 tclass=filesystem type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1306425520.69:1229): arch=x86_64 syscall=lsetxattr success=no exit=EACCES a0=58e39c0 a1=3b3de15d8b a2=37977a0 a3=1c items=0 ppid=8220 pid=9725 auid=500 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=pts6 ses=1 comm=yum exe=/usr/bin/python subj=unconfined_u:system_r:rpm_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: yum,pppd_t,tmpfs_t,filesystem,associate audit2allow #============= pppd_t ============== allow pppd_t tmpfs_t:filesystem associate; audit2allow -R #============= pppd_t ============== allow pppd_t tmpfs_t:filesystem associate;
