IPSet 6 Kernel Patch

Description of problem:
IPSet 5/6 requires a very minor kernel patch in order to function, previous ipset versions work out of the box. IPSet 6 adds full IPv6 compatibility, and has full mainline support in 2.6.39 (and in turn fedora 16). This patch would bring potential support to fedora 15 (and even 14 if its applied there) so that anyone who wants to manually install ipset 6 can do so without having to compile a custom kernel. This small patch applies cleanly to all current fedora 14 and 15 kernels.

Additional info:
please note that i am not asking for the userspace ipset programs to be added to fedora, just this very minor kernel patch

This needs to go to netdev.org

Comment 2 Chuck Ebbert 2011-06-06 20:08:49 UTC
This is already upstream in 2.6.39-rc1:
