File: backtrace
Was there a commandline output for this? Something like "JDWP No transports initialized..." ? If so, can you please post that? It seems that there was an error initializing the debug agent. Usually this is related to incorrect address mapping, invalid ports, etc. Yes, there actually was a commandline output. When trying to debug, it keeps on loading on 96% and outputs 'Launching simulation' has encountered a problem. Cannot connect to VM Details: 'Cannot connect to VM com.sun.jdi.connect.TransportTimeoutException' Ah, unfortunately that doesn't say why the transport couldn't initialize. Can you try the "/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0.x86_64/bin/java -agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,suspend=y,address=localhost:51423 -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -classpath..." command manually and post the output of it please? Using eclipse, I have a .classpath file (xml format) pointing at all resources (/bin, /lib, other jar locations, ...). I'm not sure how to use this file to set the classpath or how to concatenate multiple locations/resources. Using the .classpath file or only the /bin, I get the following output: ERROR: transport error 202: connect failed: Connection timed out ERROR: JDWP Transport dt_socket failed to initialize, TRANSPORT_INIT(510) JDWP exit error AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197): No transports initialized [../../../src/share/back/debugInit.c:708] FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197) Aborted (core dumped) Thanks. This looks like a network setup error. Can you please follow these steps and see if it resolves the issue? http://wiki.eclipse.org/Debug_FAQ#I_can_run_a_program_but_not_debug_it.3F.3F.3F Apparently, I deleted the first character of my /etc/hosts file, removing the 1 of 127.0.0.1. As a result, eclipse could not resolve my hostname... Wow, it almost seems weird no other bugs appeared. Thanks for the help! No problem! Closing as NOTABUG. |
