Description Guilherme D. da Fonseca 2011-05-27 19:35:38 UTC
Description of problem: After a fresh installation from kde-desktop cd, hplip was not installed. I plugged an HP Officejet 5610 printer and it was not configured even after rebooting. After manually installing hplip package and rebooting, the printer was automatically added to the list.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install fedora 15.
2. Plug hp officejet 5610

Actual results: Nothing happens

Expected results: Printer should be added to the list, probably after requesting hplip to be installed.

Hi Guilherme,

does this happen in Gnome or KDE?

Marek

Comment 3 Guilherme D. da Fonseca 2011-06-22 11:27:01 UTC
It happens in KDE.

Comment 4 Marek Kašík 2011-06-22 12:20:38 UTC
So this can not be a duplicate of a gnome-settings-daemon's bug. KDE has its own printer-applet for this. It is in kdeutils package.

Regards

Marek
