Sorry, the description was a little incomplete. :) I meant:

> The screen can be locked via that menu in the top right corner, however, the
> keyboard shortcut does not do so.

I should add that this bug appears only when the preferred keyboard layout is non-US (in my case it was Russian). Might be related to Bug 708729 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=708729), as GNOME's behaviour with multiple layouts in general is a little weird now.

Comment 3 collura 2011-08-24 06:59:42 UTC
think this happens with us-kb as well though i think when i tested it i did have multiple keyboards defined as you noted.

Comment 4 Jared Smith 2011-08-25 18:23:52 UTC
I have my system set for two keyboards: English (US) and English (international AltGR dead keys), and while I experienced problems several weeks ago, locking is now working fine, using either keyboard layout.

Not sure what fixed or when it but its currently working for me for the last week or so in F-15 with updates/updates-testing

Comment 7 TNO-reg 2011-09-11 14:39:49 UTC
Having reported this bug, I think I should mention that the 'lock screen' shortcut has been working to me (regardless of the current active layout, which is rather convenient) for some time; I'm not sure when it started working, but it seems to have been fixed along with similar (in my opinion, of course) issues like Bug 708729.

Comment 8 collura 2011-09-12 08:59:44 UTC
yay. fixed for me as well and still habe multiple keyboards defined.

thanks :')
