definitely 32bit, right ? yes...32bit. I have another comment, but I don't know if it is connected... When I print a document from Openoffice and I want multiple copies of a multi-page document and I want the order of pages 1-2-3, 1-2-3, I get instead 1-1,2-2,3-3 (I don't know the name of such option in English as I am using Italian) Shall I open a separate bug?? This is logged against Fedora 15, the up to date version of LibreOffice for Fedora 15 is libreoffice-3.3.3.1-7.fc15. I loaded your document there and printed it and I get red text on my printout, not blue. So... a) can you check if its still blue in an up-to-date version (yum update, or use the update software menus) b) use print, then options and check "print to file" on and open the print output in evince and b.1) see if its red there b.2) and see if it prints correctly or incorrectly when the print output is then printed from inside evince. i.e. lets rule in or out that LibreOffice is generating the correct output and if its a problem with generic printing. test from evince
I followed your instructions: PDF file is correct but when I print from it I get same results, i.e the red comments are printed in black also from evince.
I think that bug is not in openoffice!!!
My system is fully updated (daily updates are running)
Great, for me at least :-). So, http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_printing_problems especially http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_printing_problems#What_make_and_model_is_my_printer.3F and fill in your printer model and printer driver following that faq Funny as when I print on my network printer (ethernet connected) I see NRG-MP-C3300 model, that is connected to port 10.0.0.60....

Please attach the PPD for the queue, from the /etc/cups/ppd/ directory. Also: are you able to print "test.pdf" to that same printer but with a different operating system? i.e. can we rule out the problem being with the printer? Created attachment 529516 [details]
ppd file for NRG-3300
Same pdf file is printed fine in Windows.
Please note that any regular cell in Calc is printed fine also when coloured.
What does this command say?: /usr/lib/cups/backend/snmp 10.0.0.60 Also, could you please set up another queue using a different driver? This time, try selecting "Generic" for the make, and "PCL Laser" as the model. Does that queue give any better results? /usr/lib/cups/backend/snmp 10.0.0.60 network socket://10.0.0.60 "NRG MP C3300" "NRG MP C3300" "MFG:NRG;CMD:PJL,RCS,PCL,PCLXL,PCL,PCLXL;MDL:MP C3300;STS:30414/30405/30412/30407/30462/10001,0;CLS:PRINTER;DES:NRG MP C3300;" "" I will try to set another queue another queue has been set but with Generic for the make and PCL lase as the model, I do not see any option for colour Oh, is PCL Laser just black and white? Sorry... Created attachment 529537 [details]
test.pxl
Please try printing this using:
lp -d NRG-MP-C3300 -o raw test.pxl
This file is the result of:
gs -q -dBATCH -dPARANOIDSAFER -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=pxlcolor -r600x600 -sPAPERSIZE=a4 -sOutputFile=test.pxl test.pdf
no improvement. What should be printed in red is still printed in black. Are the others colours correct? The orange cell backgrounds, the blue text? How about the red cell background on line 51, "hot water"? Are you able to scan in the output you get and attach it? Running the PXL output through GhostPDL's 'pcl6' interpreter gives me correct colours. Created attachment 531377 [details]
As output from the printer
sorry for the poor scanning, but you can see what I mean when I say that comment is mismatched. Other colours are fine
Are you able to attach the original LibreOffice Calc document? If not, could you please try changing the colour of that text from red to (say) brown, and printing that? Does it have any effect? Created attachment 531994 [details]
Colur switched from red to blue
I changed colur from red to blue.
No way, still printed in black!!!
Are there any available firmware updates for the printer? There are other instances of printers using the wrong colours for PXL output caused by firmware issues, such as here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/system-config-printer/+bug/505423 Created attachment 540720 [details]
Another example
Now the word Bozza that you see in blue is printed in black but the letter B is printed in blue.
I have no option to update the firmware, the printer is a company's printer
I printed the test.pxl on our HP Color LaserJet 4600 as per comment 16 and the rotated text came out red. Hope this helps. Stijn: thanks very much! That confirms that the driver is working correctly. Antonio: I'm afraid this means the problem is with your printer, and is most likely a firmware issue. Printed correctly with HP 2000C |
Created attachment 502237 [details] test file for color printing Description of problem: mismatch during printing of colors Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): libreoffice-calc-3.3.2.2-7.fc15.i686 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1.print a file 2. 3. Actual results: the test marked in red is printed in black Expected results: it should be printed in red Additional info: using a network printer NRG-300, it was printed fine in Openoffice Fedora 14
