Screenshot showing missing letters and other artifacts.

Just upgraded to F15, and I can confirm this bug.

You can see the character 'A' is missing from Activities, 'M' is missing from Manipulation and Mon(day), '6' is missing from today's date, '6' is missing from the current time (12:26), both 'P' and 'M' are missing from the current time (12 hour clock).

In addition, the corner of one of my windows has strangely gone missing.

I can also confirm that at other times I've seen the top halves of letters go missing across half the desktop.

I also have a radeon graphics card.

I can confirm that my issues are pretty much identical to Kieran's. Here's my Smolt info: http://www.smolts.org/client/show/pub_aae9fcb8-25db-4cac-af44-3d091785091d

Identical issue here as well, with X1400

I believe issue is related with mine, distorted fonts with x1200 ATI

Same issue here with ATI X1550:

I have the exact same issue and here is my smolt hardware details:
http://www.smolts.org/client/show/pub_9112c0ed-5e82-4929-80b0-b2946a13de45

I want to also add that whenever this happens the desktop background becomes distorted also along with window boundaries. At first I thought this was an issue with my desktop manager. I went from GNOME 3, GNOME 2, KDE4, XFCE, and then back to GNOME 3. Then I thought it could be distro related, so I went from Ubuntu to Fedora (here I reside now). And the exact same thing. Thinking that all of a sudden I had a hardware problem I searched the internet and found many other people experiencing the exact same issue.

Something I have noticed is that the distortion is in groupings and it seems like the block of pixels swap with the adjacent block of pixels. Giving a chunky pixelated look. For fonts, this is less obvious compared to my default Fedora 15 background, where it's very obvious what's going on.

Thank you developers for all you do to make my free OS live pleasant. I hope you find the source of the problem and can resolve the problem quickly.

I forgot to add, this problem temporarily goes away if I log out of my session and log back in.

Comment 11 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 17:43:37 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
