File: backtrace
Thanks for a bug report. I guess this is related to bug #707578, but I do not see the exact signature of that bug in your backtrace. Could you try with evolution-3.0.2-2 from updates-testing whether it'll help you too, please? See the link for the update in bug #707578 comment #14. Sure, I'll pull down 3.0.2-2 and see what happens. Thanks! Package: evolution-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- I wouldn't say that the problem is reproducible, but it is happenning all of the time: I'm having evolution crash 5-10 times in 30 minutes of heavy use. It seems to happen all of the time, in response to various mundane operations (openning an email, composing an email, browsing email). I've noticed a few curious behaviors: 1) in my Inbox folder, sometimes the scroll bar at right indicates many more messages (as estimated by the height of the solid bar relative to the overall scroll area) than are displayed in the list; 2) The message-display pane (that normally shows the text of the message currently selected in the message list display) is not updating in my InBox: if I select another message in the list, the message-display pane does display the new message, it stays stuck on the old message (in fact, stuck on a message that I had viewed four or five crashes ago). 3) When I move messages from the Inbox folder to a local saved file folder, (sometimes) the message list does not update to show the new message until after I empty trash. James, could you update to evolution-3.0.2-2 too, from updates testing, as it contains a fix for this bug I introduced in 3.0.2-1, and report back whether it helped, please? Thanks advance. Package: evolution-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- 1. Evolution was running with a GMail IMAP account and a NNTP account 2. The program wasn't being actively used when the crash occurred This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
