It seems I have same problem that here : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693542 Same probleme, same tests, same hardware. Maybe do you have any solution ? Thank you ;) Can you do 2 things please? 1) Check the bios revision on your system. The bios I have here is v1.1.4 2) Boot the intstaller with pci=nobios on the command line. That last line prior to the hang issues a pci write to the device via bios and I'd like to ensure that something isn't wrong with the system bios handling the write to this device. I tried with pci=nobios and ignore_loglevel, but same result. BIOS version is 1.5.2 Dell Tag is D99325J, if it can help you. Ok, seems like it stopped at a slightly earlier point though (no mention of the latency timer print out above). Do you consistenly see that printout, or do you just have some jitter in how far bnx2 initalization gets (in terms of what you see printed), prior to the hang? I only see that printout... I also tried with pci=nobios but without ignore_loglevel, and it hangs directly with "waiting for hardware to initialize". If needed, I can do all tests you wish... no problem ;) Finally, I stopped to work with that dedicated server provider (Online) because their business support is a joke. The problem is not solved, but bypassed with new server. Ok, well I'm going to close this then, as I just re-installed fedora 15 (kernel 2.6.38.7-30.fc15.x86_64), on a dell r210 system here over a bcm5716 based card that matches yours, and all went well. |

If I use an existing installation with the same computer, boot stops with "Starting udev Wait for Complete Device Initialization" How reproducible: Simply boot with Fedora 15 x86_64 CD or DVD, or run existing Fedora 15 x86_64 with same hardware.
