Package: Thunar-1.2.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- tried to open a wine application Did you click on the application with the right mouse button? Please update thunar-vcs-plugin to 0.1.4 if you haven't already. If this doesn't help, uninstall the plugin and tell us if you still see this problem. this has been bugging me for the last 3 or 4 versions of fedora the debugging file download was way to big to do anything about it now with the debug server it finally did a backtrace for me I don't know if it is useful but I have it. my instance of this always happens with a right click on some Thunar element... already had the thunar-vcs 0.1.4-1.fc15 update so will uninstall and let you know if it happens again I have modified my clicking to almost always left click before right clicking to avoid the problem except occasionally I forget... old man brain adios, @ Package: Thunar-1.2.2-1.fc15 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- 1) Opened Thunar 2) Went to click on one of the tree elements 3) It crashed no crash since thunar-vcs-plugin was uninstalled... approx 3 weeks. it was always with a right click that it crashed so it took me a while to get back to right clicking to select in Thunar. i did get back to right clicking and still no crashes after removal of the thunar-vcs-plugin. adios, @ Package: Thunar-1.2.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- Open ~/tmp, then right-click into the window Hmm, not really sure, how to reproduce. Open a folder and instantly doing a right-click (while thunar draws contents) may force this. rpm -q thunar-vcs-plugin thunar-vcs-plugin-0.1.4-1.fc15.x86_64 I have been having this issue since Fedora 14 as well. Is the solution to uninstall thunar-vcs-plugin? it's a possible work around. Try and see if it works there? That would tell us which thing is causing it. So far it has not crashed since removing the thunar-vcs-plugin Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Unknown what I was doing when this problem happened. Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- I had just attached and turned on an external H/D to do some backups. Thunar opened normally. I logged into the external drive and selected the first file I wanted to backup. When I right-clicked on the file to copy it, Thunar crashed. Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Comment ----- Opened thunar I think, the thunar vcs plugin was the crasher, rating: 4 Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Right click on a folder in Thunar. I think this is thunar-vcs-plugin, again & unfortunately. rating: 4 Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) (In reply to comment #4) (In reply to comment #17) thunar-vcs-plugin-0.1.4-1.fc16.x86_64 I had just inserted a thumb drive in my computer. When Thunar opened with the drive's contents displayed, I selected Desktop (where the folder I wanted to move resided) and right clicked on that folder. Thunar crashed. rating: 4 Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) 0. XDG_DESKTOP_DIR is set to /home/[user] 1. click one of the icons from the desktop to open up thunar; thunar is not open before doing this 2. right-click inside the main filelist pane 3. thunar crashes before the menu is brought up. full xfce installation; thunar-volman, VCS plugin, custom actions for opening terminal, encrypting(gpg/ssl), and archiving (tar), templates. Pathbar location selector, status bar, and tree side pane are visible. Off the Fedora 16 XFCE spin x86 rating: 4 Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) opened Thunar, right clicked on a folder, Thunar crashed... rating: 4 Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) right clicked a text file backtrace_rating: 4 Package: Thunar-1.3.0-4.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) Created attachment 551403 [details]

Package: Thunar-1.2.3-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- Thunar crashes when right-clicking anywhere. It has to be related with either RabbitVCS Thunar extension or thunar-vcs-plugin. It happens frequently when right-clicking in a folder the first time after a user session is started. This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
