Description John Griffiths 2011-06-06 05:20:40 UTC
Description of problem:
The /run/clamd.amavisd directory is not created at start and the /var/spool/amavisd/clamd.sock is left behind on shutdown. So, on a reboot, this bug along with Bug 696725 prevents email from being received by postfix in a amavisd-new, clamd.amavid, and postfix email configuration.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
amavisd-new-2.6.4-3.fc15.noarch

How reproducible:
always at reboot

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just configure a amavisd-new, clamd.amavid, and postfix email configuration.
2. reboot
3.

Actual results:
email system does not receive email since only postfix is running.

Expected results:
amavisd and clamd.amavisd should start without manual intervention.

Comment 1 James Hill 2011-08-27 12:47:56 UTC
Just like bug 696725, its not creating a folder (var/run/clamd.amavisd) for the pid file to go into.

This is preventing postfix from operating.
