Description of problem:
Firefox 4 seens to have a huge memory leak

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-4.0.1-2.fc15.x86_64
&
firefox-4.0.1-2.fc15.i686


How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use firefox for a few days

  
Actual results:
3  PID %MEM  VIRT SWAP  RES CODE DATA  SHR nFLT nDRT S  PR  NI %CPU COMMAND     
 22238 10.5 3408m 2.5g 840m   36 2.6g  34m  146    0 S  20   0  1.0 firefox     

On my laptop it used up all ram and all swap once.

Expected results:
No leak.

Additional info:
Tried both on i686 and x86_64.

We have now Firefox 6 for Fedora 15. http://is.gd/RJ64Du

Please, upgrade and if you can reproduce the issue, please, file a bug in the upstream bugzilla.mozilla.com bug database. That way you get much higher chance of getting an attention of people who can deal with the problem.
