Description Roman Rakus 2011-06-06 12:44:13 UTC
The same like in bug 60870.
The shell should report the real reason.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.echo 'int main () { return 0; }' > u.c
2.gcc -o u u.c -Wl,-dynamic-linker,/foo/bar/baz
3../u

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2013-04-03 19:19:03 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

More information and reason for this action is here:

Comment 2 Dominic Hopf 2013-04-03 22:21:31 UTC
The issue is still present with Zsh 5.0.2. Setting back to Rawhide.

Dominic,
is this bug or RFE/future feature?

If bug, and it was reported during F19 development (and as I stated even before), it should be fixed in F19. If this is RFE/future feature, please, update the summary with RFE: or add FutureFeature keyword and it won't be touched by the script no more.

Thanks

I think this behavior is actually a bug which is is present in all versions of Zsh, also in Rawhide. I was assuming the Fedora Version set in this bug is the one where the bug is present. And before it gets forgotten because it get's closed at the EOL of a Fedora release, I'd like to have it as an open bug as a reminder that this bug is existing. Would it be legal for this case to set the FutureRelease keyword then?

Comment 6 Kamil Dudka 2015-04-17 13:28:18 UTC
proposed upstream:

http://www.zsh.org/mla/workers/2015/msg00833.html

Comment 7 Kamil Dudka 2015-04-20 08:56:31 UTC
Upstream is not going to address this in the code of zsh:

http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.shells.zsh.devel/32475/focus=32483

Unless we have a Fedora-specific use case for the patch, I would prefer to close this unresolved...

Comment 8 Kamil Dudka 2015-05-12 13:56:55 UTC
Upstream refuses to integrate this feature into zsh. Closing WONTFIX.
