Description Brad Hinson 2011-06-06 18:42:22 UTC
Description of problem:
Request to backport HyperPAV support in s390x to RHEL 5. HyperPAV was included in bug 463532.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Introduced in kernel 2.6.25:

http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=8e09f21574ea3028d5629e5de759e0b196c690c5

Business justification:
Customers who are unable to update to RHEL 6 (due to lack of certifications, ISV or internal) need HyperPAV support in RHEL 5.

Hello Brad,
is your request to get a backport to RHEL 5.6 or should this be evaluated for inclusion into RHEL 5.9 although that is expected to be a bug fix only release ?
