Migrating to Fedora from another distro or sharing the partition mounted on /home with various distributions? If you are migrating to Fedora from another distro: yum install policycorutils-restorecond relogin to your session restorecon -R -v /home If you are sharing the partition with other distributions you will additionally need to run restorecon -R -v /home each time you boot into Fedora. From another Distro. Thank you very much, Dominick. |
SELinux is preventing /opt/google/chrome/chrome from 'write' accesses on the file /home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6. ***** Plugin restorecon (82.4 confidence) suggests ************************* If you want to fix the label. /home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6 default label should be config_home_t. Then you can run restorecon. Do # /sbin/restorecon -v /home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6 ***** Plugin file (7.05 confidence) suggests ******************************* If you think this is caused by a badly mislabeled machine. Then you need to fully relabel. Do touch /.autorelabel; reboot ***** Plugin file (7.05 confidence) suggests ******************************* If you think this is caused by a badly mislabeled machine. Then you need to fully relabel. Do touch /.autorelabel; reboot ***** Plugin catchall_labels (4.59 confidence) suggests ******************** If you want to allow chrome to have write access on the 6 file Then you need to change the label on /home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6 Do # semanage fcontext -a -t FILE_TYPE '/home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6' where FILE_TYPE is one of the following: afs_cache_t, user_fonts_cache_t, chrome_sandbox_tmpfs_t, user_tmp_t, chrome_sandbox_tmp_t, gnome_home_type, chrome_sandbox_t, user_cron_spool_t, cgroup_t, user_tmpfs_t. Then execute: restorecon -v '/home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6' ***** Plugin catchall (1.31 confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that chrome should be allowed write access on the 6 file by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep chrome /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context unconfined_u:unconfined_r:chrome_sandbox_t:s0-s0:c 0.c1023 Target Context system_u:object_r:file_t:s0 Target Objects /home/arianit/.config/google- chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6 [ file ] Source chrome Source Path /opt/google/chrome/chrome Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages google-chrome-stable-11.0.696.71-86024 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.16-26.fc15 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Permissive Host Name (removed) Platform Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.38.6-26.rc1.fc15.i686 #1 SMP Mon May 9 20:43:14 UTC 2011 i686 i686 Alert Count 1 First Seen Tue 07 Jun 2011 04:25:29 PM CEST Last Seen Tue 07 Jun 2011 04:25:29 PM CEST Local ID 1b135f2e-b48a-4895-b913-df20d3de2b6f Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1307456729.129:60): avc: denied { write } for pid=2581 comm="chrome" path="/home/arianit/.config/google-chrome/Default/databases/https_twitter.com_0/6" dev=sda3 ino=394389 scontext=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:chrome_sandbox_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:object_r:file_t:s0 tclass=file type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1307456729.129:60): arch=i386 syscall=socketcall success=yes exit=EPERM a0=11 a1=b71d0380 a2=b98a084 a3=0 items=0 ppid=1 pid=2581 auid=500 uid=500 gid=500 euid=500 suid=500 fsuid=500 egid=500 sgid=500 fsgid=500 tty=(none) ses=1 comm=chrome exe=/opt/google/chrome/chrome subj=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:chrome_sandbox_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: chrome,chrome_sandbox_t,file_t,file,write audit2allow #============= chrome_sandbox_t ============== allow chrome_sandbox_t file_t:file write; audit2allow -R #============= chrome_sandbox_t ============== allow chrome_sandbox_t file_t:file write;
