This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping still a problem This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 17. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '17'. It's also the case that: /etc/pki/cyrus-imapd/cyrus-imapd.pem (Cyrus' IMAP daemon) /etc/pki/tls/certs/proftpd.pem (Proftpd) don't have their certificates watched either. Patches welcome! (In reply to Joe Orton from comment #5) > Patches welcome! This is really a no-brainer. But in any case I provided the exact same details in the original post. Did you read it at all?? If not, read it again. - certs=`${httpd} ${OPTIONS} -t -DDUMP_CERTS 2>/dev/null | /bin/sort -u` - RETVAL=$? - test $RETVAL -eq 0 || return + certs=`{ + ${httpd} ${OPTIONS} -t -DDUMP_CERTS; + egrep '^O (CA|Server|Client)CertFile' /etc/mail/sendmail.cf | sed 's/^.*=//' + } 2>/dev/null | /bin/sort -u` crypto-utils was retired from Fedora. /usr/bin/certwatch is available from the certwatch package. sscg should be used to replace any use of genkey. |
Description of problem: certwatch.cron doesnt check sendmail certificates Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): crypto-utils-2.4.1-27 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure sendmail with an expired certificate 2. wait 24 hours Actual results: 2. no warning Expected results: 2. a wanring Additional info: Clearly something like: egrep '^O (Server|Client|CA)CertFile' /etc/mail/sendmail.cf | sed 's/^.*=//' should be used to give certwatch something more to do. Somebody should also write a cron script that checks that other cron scripts are doing the right thing.
