Description Gary Scarborough 2011-06-08 14:45:22 UTC
Description of problem:
Sometime recently it seems that the ability to create sparse raw files was broken. I have older sparse files and now I cannot create any new ones.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
I am running Fedora 14 with the virt preview repo fully updated. Also seems to be a problem in Fedora 15.

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new disk image file either with Virt-manager or qemu-img, select raw.
2. File created is not sparse.
3.

Actual results:
Preallocated file is created.

Expected results:
A sparse file should be created.
