:I suffer from ocassional system freezes. The SATA HDD goes on an eternal loop and doesn't let me write on it; ending in a reeze.

The call trace on this was truncate.  Does this still happen with the 2.6.40.6 kernel update, and if so could you please attach the full oops output?
