Description Joshua Wulf 2011-06-09 10:01:15 UTC
When we move Skynet to a Webservices based architecture, we should make it CMIS 1.0 spec-compliant if at all possible.

http://docs.oasis-open.org/cmis/CMIS/v1.0/cs01/cmis-spec-v1.0.html

The spec got only the bare minimum of 15% quorum of yes votes (no Nays, 85% abstention) to be accepted by OASIS. Red Hat's OASIS representative, Mark Little, was one of the yes voters.

THe CMIS spec defines the REST and SOAP http protocol interface for a CMS. This allows application developers to code to a standard, regardless of the internal implementation of the CMS.
