Cannot reproduce. More details needed.

If gnomevfs.unlink() thinks the filename URI points at a directory, that would be a bug in gnome-python2-gnomevfs not soundconverter.

Could you create and attach a test-case as an archive? E.g. with a tiny file that has the same file name directory names to reproduce the issue.

If you can reproduce the problem and you start soundconverter on a terminal, what output do you get?
