Description Petr Šplíchal 2011-06-13 11:49:27 UTC
Description of problem:

Function get_businfo() fails on s390x with an IOError "Operation
not supported". Works fine on all other architectures. This was
revealed by TC#81755 - /CoreOS/python-ethtool/Sanity/unit.

Don't know any further details about this function so not sure
whether this should work across all architectures.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
python-ethtool-0.6-4.el5

Steps to Reproduce:
python -c 'import ethtool; print ethtool.get_businfo("eth0")'

Actual results:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<string>", line 1, in ?
IOError: [Errno 95] Operation not supported

Additional info:
This is working fine on RHEL6:

# python -c 'import ethtool; print ethtool.get_businfo("eth0")'
0.0.8000/0.0.8001/0.0.8002
# rpm -q python-ethtool
python-ethtool-0.6-1.el6.s390x
