Description of problem:
Gparted cannot be run from Activities section. Only a "The password you typed is invalid. Please try again." (without any password prompt) error message window is shown and nothing else happens.

gparted-0.8.0-1.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install gparted from F15 repository
2. try to run it
  
Actual results:
gparted doesn't start nor prompts for password

Expected results:
gparted starts after prompting for password

I have no idea what you might be causing the problem for you. Can you run it successfully from the terminal?

It works perfectly fine for me in gnome-shell, both from 'Activities section' or from the terminal.

My apologize, it was caused by gparted installed only "partially" -- I later realized that there is an incomplete transaction in yum. Completing it solved the problem.
