Description Jonathan Kamens 2011-06-14 02:09:27 UTC
Please upgrade thunderbird in Rawhide to 5.0b1 ASAP. This will be useful for two reasons: (1) you'll be ready to build 5.0 quickly when it is released; (2) you'll enable Fedora users (like me) who maintain thunderbird add-ons to make them compatible with 5.0 without having to resort to using a Windows VM. Thanks.

v. 5.0, released: June 28, 2011

It should be good to go for rawhide.

As much as I would like to have Thunderbird 5 along with Firefox 5 in F15, Thunderbird 5 is not a security update to Thunderbird 3.1 in the same way as Firefox 5 is to Firefox 4 (abi-wise and xulrunner-wise). Maybe we can have a thunderbird5 package like we had firefox4.

Since Thunderbird 6 is now in F15+, should this bug be closed?

Comment 3 Michael J Gruber 2011-09-28 20:15:39 UTC
Closing since TB 6 is in F15. (Should have been closed by the package upgrade.)
