Description Tom Kovar 2011-06-14 10:43:54 UTC
Empathy cannot connect to ICQ, with an "Network error" msg. According to various bug reports, the problem is with the SSL backend implementation on the server side, and it should be possible to workaround through setting the parameter "use-ssl" to false.
But since the newest version of, so I understand, libpurple, this parameter is not accepted any more (and mc-tool update returns an error message "Not all parameters recognised".
Can the proper parameter be communicated, before empathy is able to handle SSL in line with the ICQ servers?
