Description G. Michael Carter 2011-06-14 14:13:36 UTC
Description of problem:

Currently to access tomboy, in Gnome Shell, you move your mouse to the bottom corner. Then play chase that icon while it populates whatever is under the mouse

Comment 1 G. Michael Carter 2011-06-14 14:15:20 UTC
well that wasn't cool, submitted before I finished typing.

Anycase. Tomboy is an app that the icon is your interface. It makes more sense to have it linked on the top bar, or some other way to access it other then the "message" tray.

Comment 2 Thomas Moschny 2011-11-11 10:02:17 UTC
Created a ticket upstream. There's not much I can do about it otherwise.

Comment 3 Lev Shamardin 2012-08-19 13:07:49 UTC
As a temporary workaround I can recommend using the "Evil Status Icon Forever" extension (https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/99/evial-status-icon-forerver/), edit extension.js after installation as follows:

var notification = [
...
    'tomboy-notes',
    'tomboy',
...
]

This will move the tomboy icon from notification area to the upper panel.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)
