I cannot reproduce this bug report. When exactly is pulseaudio started? before you log out or on the second login? You say there is an error about pluseaudio in startx.log, however I don't see it in the log you attached. Can you please give me some more context? Can you also check if "ck-list-sessions" shows something different the first and the second time you log in? Created attachment 505383 [details]

That is indeed very helpful, thanks. I will look into it when I find the time. Just as in bug 714394 you should have two consolekit sesions opened when you log in form a console and start lxde with startx. But you only have one, the console session, this is why you cannot connect to various devices and things like pluseaudio or nm-applet are failing.
