How reproducible:
Very.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Pick a JBoss AS instance in memory, RHQ Server or EAP and enable event logging.
2.Navigate to the AS instance and click on Summary>Timeline.  
3.The timeline displays data, but a client side message about invalid configuration id is shown and server side message attached.
  
Actual results:
Annoying client side messages. Continues when you navigate away from the Activity tab as well.
Annoying Server side messages. As data is shown confused about the message.

Additional info:
-This is in the JSF code I believe. Likely something to do with a failure in the JSF > GWT integration.
-Unchecking 'Configuration Items' checkbox on timeline does not stop the errors.

we should take this time to refactor that timeline page. We get alot of feedback that this page is (or can be) very useful and should be one of our main UI pages that we refer people to. We should spend time to make this page better and show more data that it does today (e.g. show when drift occured)

The timeline itself is javascript and reading json data. IIrc it was not too hard to extend that. I think in the longer run, we need to investigate how to replace the jsp pages delivering the json data. Json over REST could be a possibility.

things look ok to me. I did do a little refactoring here, but I doubt what I did really affected this issue. But, no matter, in my testing, as you see by the attached image, things are working.

Verified on build#344 (Version: 4.1.0-SNAPSHOT Build Number: bdc6f5e)

Enabled event logging on RHQ server. Navigated to the Summary>Timeline tab of the resource. No errors are displayed. The timeline is displaying the data.
