Description Nicolas Mailhot 2011-06-16 18:26:30 UTC
SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/postfix/qmgr from 'read' accesses on the dossier /var/spool/postfix/deferred.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that qmgr should be allowed read access on the deferred directory by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep qmgr /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Dominick Grift 2011-06-16 20:32:53 UTC
Would you able able to reproduce this issue with SELinux in permissive mode?

I suspect that qmgr has business in /var/spool/postfix/deferred and that i may want more than just list that directory.

We can only determine that if we allow it to list it first and then see what it wants next.

Comment 2 Miroslav Grepl 2011-06-17 04:52:12 UTC
I believe it needs "read" permission also.

Nicolas,
could you execute

# semanage permissive -a postfix_qmgr_t

recreate the issue and run

# ausearch -m avc -ts recent

Fixed in selinux-policy-3.9.16-30.fc16

Will this be updated in F15 as well? I see this problem in selinux-policy-targeted-3.9.16-32.fc15.noarch:
