Description of problem:
Using the forcedeth driver for an onboard NIC (nVidia C77 / GeForce 8200) results in bad operating network. Using an alternative NIC (RTL-8169) with the r8169 driver solves the problem.

kernel-2.6.38.8-32.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible: 100% on this specific motherboard.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade Fedora 14 to Fedora 15 using yum
2. boot
3. Note extreme (but not 100%) packet loss.

Actual results:
Extreme packet loss

Expected results:
Operational NIC

Additional info:
Using tcpdump I see no packetloss when doing a ping. Userspace however hardly ever sees the ICMP replies.

Using a still present F14 kernel (kernel-2.6.35.13-92.fc14.x86_64) is a work-around.

The forcedeth driver is also used on another PC here, upgrading to F15 however introduced no networking problems. NIC is "nVidia Corporation MCP55". So the issue is highly NIC specific.

Fedora 15 has reached it's end of life as of June 26, 2012.  As a result, we will not be fixing any remaining bugs found in Fedora 15.

In the event that you have upgraded to a newer release and the bug you reported is still present, please reopen the bug and set the version field to the newest release you have encountered the issue with.  Before doing so, please ensure you are testing the latest kernel update in that release and attach any new and relevant information you may have gathered.
