File: backtrace
Hi, Sorry to bother you with this no-bug in anywhere inclusive Fedora 14 platform or Brasero-application. Brasero performed normally after i corrected the missing setting in VMware menu running in the top of RHEL-5 hosting VMware application window ("VM | Removable Devices | CD/DVD (IDE)") which had not been checked. This needs to be done for VMware 7 Workstation in order to give a virtualized hardware to Fedora 14 and Brasero to be mounted as CD/DVD (IDE) device. Like in this host, there need to be checked for VMware control panel at least Removable Devices: Network Adapter(using NAT), Printer, Soundcard, and as loudspeakers serving USB - device GN Netcom GN 2000 USB OC. These and more - like a couple of USB joysticks and flashmemories are all found by VMwware 7 Workstation whhich host in this configuration Fedora 14 installation. They are however not by default mounted quite all with their virtual counterparts. CD/DVD(IDE) needs separately to be checked in the VM | Removable Devices - menu and then the Fedora 14 system restarted in order to bring CD/DVD (IDE) alive to be mounted for Fedora 14 and Brasero application. Othervise you can get error signal 11 (SIGSEV) and your Process /usr/bin/brasero killed. After this detail was done by the undersigned, Brasero performed very automatically from graphical user interface and created 100% quality DVD - copies of 8,5GB originals with very high speed. Though VMware spends some CPU capacity while it's hosting on top of Windows 7, all realtime/sound/video applications seem to perform very satisfyingly. The image writing and copy process on VMware is very quick even with large DVD's and the time left is visible all the time. (For curiosity: I even installed a quite demanding simulator called Steel Beasts Professional PE Edition by eSim Games on Wine on top of Fedora 14 with mandatory CodeMeter-USB-dongle in place, and the simulator runs with no performance issues - Windows-free!! - Well, almost ;) )
With Best Regards Mika Runolinna
