Hi Michael, Could you help to check the screen shot of the error message? Thanks. It appears the fast user switching applet is crashing. Can you use abrt to get a backtrace from the crash? Created attachment 515669 [details]
abrt.log
Hi Sir,
Please help to check the attached log file. If this is not log file you want, please let me know. Thanks.
That is the correct log, but it's missing key information. Would you mind installing debuginfo packages for glib, gnome-panel, and gdm ? Hi Sir, Would you please provide more info about the debuginfo packages for glib, gnome-panel, and gdm? Where should I get the tool? Thanks in advance. Created attachment 521460 [details]
abrt.log
You can get the debuginfo packages from a debuginfo channel in RHN. The package names are gnome-panel-debuginfo gdm-debuginfo and glib2-debuginfo Hi Sir, I installed the three packages gnome-panel-debuginfo,gdm-debuginfo and glib2-debuginfo. Is there is a manual about how to use the debug tool? I am not sure how to you use them? Would you please share the info with me? Thanks in advance. Created attachment 523789 [details]

Thank you for the provided backtrace. It is exactly what I needed. I believe there have been fixes upstream (possibly in the accounts service fork of this code) for this particular problem. It should be possible to backport a fix. Hi Sir, Could you please me know if you need other info of this issue to check further? Thanks. No, we're all set. Thank you. Hi Sir, Would you kindly help to provide the latest status? Is it a Applet issue in RHEL? Thanks. Hi, There are no status updates at this time. The problem is a known issue with fixes upstream that can be backported. I have proposed those fixes go into a future synchronous update. My proposal will be evaluated and weighed against other pending issues and available quality assurance capacity during the next planning period. Hi Sir, Would you please help to check if this fix will be available in RHEL6.2? Thanks. This fix will not be available in RHEL 6.2. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. During the Production 3 Phase, Critical impact Security Advisories (RHSAs) and selected Urgent Priority Bug Fix Advisories (RHBAs) may be released as they become available. The official life cycle policy can be reviewed here: http://redhat.com/rhel/lifecycle This issue does not meet the inclusion criteria for the Production 3 Phase and will be marked as CLOSED/WONTFIX.
