I didn't observe this behaviour since ages. I am sorry, but I cannot provide additional information. It seems some update must have fixed this bug. |
Description of problem: Sometimes immediately after the laptop wakes up from sleep, Gnome Shell becomes unresponsive. Mouse clicks and keyboard input would take several (5+) seconds before they are processed by the Shell in short bursts (this happens in every GUI application). Also, applications themselves get their UI updated in the same short bursts. Mouse movement, however, is entirely uninhibited. Most bizarrely, keyboard input in virtual terminals (tty) is totally okay. Eventually, the bug will become apparent. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put the laptop to sleep. 2. Wake it up. 3. Go to step 1 if shell is not unresponsive.
