Description Adel Gadllah 2011-06-25 09:24:57 UTC
Description of problem:
I noticed that I never get update notifications after updating to F15, even though the update interval is set to daily and yum finds a bunch of updates. So i checked whether gpk-update-icon is running and the result was not. Digging further I found that gpk-update-icon's man page exists but the binary is nowhere to be found.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-packagekit-3.0.0-5.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Notice that no update notifications are created
2. Notice that gpk-update-icon is not running
3. Notice that gpk-update-icon does not exist

Actual results:
No update notifications

Expected results:
Update notifications

Additional info:
This looks bad as users won't get noticed about security fixes and have to update by hand once this is fixed ...
