This happens with other desktops too, for example with xfce. Firefox-4 does not show this behaviour. Actual results: The window title bar ends with the symbol for not presentable chars Expected results: A clean window title bar Additional info: 1. Other applications do not show such a behaviour 2. I'm using gnome3/gnome-shell
