Description Martin Tournoij 2011-06-28 12:40:04 UTC
Description of problem:
/etc/cron.daily/prelink stpres a cachefile as /etc/prelink.cache
This is not a good location to store a cache file.
A much better location would be /var/cache/prelink/prelink.cache for example.

This is a bit of a small issue, I know, but my incremental backups of /etc/ keep changing every day because of this ...

As Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 has now entered Production Phase 2, this bug has been re-evaluated with the conclusion that a fix would not be appropriate at this time. Consequently this bug is being closed. Please contact your Red Hat representative if a review is required.
