The Lucent/Ascend file parser in Wireshark 1.2.x before 1.2.18, 1.4.x
through 1.4.7, and 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of
service (infinite loop) via malformed packets.

Statement:

This issue did not affect the version of wireshark as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and 5.
