Description Haroldo Gamal 2011-07-10 18:48:56 UTC
Description of problem:
The package ncurses-static-5.8-2.20110319.fc15.i686.rpm is missing from 64 bits repository.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 15 x86_64

How reproducible:

just try to use "yum install ncurses-static.i686"

Actual results:

you've got the message "No package ncurses-static.i686 available."

Expected results:
to install the package correctly.

Additional info:
If you get the package from 32 bit repository, you can install the package.

Comment 1 Miroslav Lichvar 2011-07-11 07:29:01 UTC
It seems there are only glibc and libstdc++ i686 static packages in the 64-bit repo, but I'm not sure that is a bug.

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 2011-07-11 17:54:34 UTC
It's intentional, the static whitelist is only those two packages.

Comment 3 prz 2012-07-22 10:07:14 UTC
silly to close it as not-a-bug. Trying to ship something here that relied on it (well, you gotta compile grub i386 and guess what you need ?) and now I have to scratch it from some obscure sources.
