File: backtrace
Does this crash happen everytime you open that font? Is the font freely available to attach here or point us to where we can download a copy? Bernardo contributed this to Arch Unix: http://pkgbuild.com/git/aur.git/commit/acoustica-font-ttf?id=19c10dddf1c78cb14f958e02cd6a4b2061db2c34&ss=1&context=2&ignorews=1 which points to http://christian.texier.pagespro-orange.fr/mididesi/free/media/acoustica.zip as the source of this (free) font. I'll try to confirm this later today, if no one gets there first... I can't reproduce this with the same version of FontForge on F14, x86-64 with GNOME. The backtrace is very short indeed, and suggests that FontForge didn't last very long before aborting, because FontForge deliberately aborts when it encounters a problem with the window manager itself. 1. Which DE are you using? GNOME, KDE, or something else? 2. How quickly did FontForge crash. Was it before showing you the main window? 3. Am I testing with the correct font, the one I mentioned in comment #3? And then I'd echo Kevin's question: 4. Does this happen every time with that font, and with other fonts? This bug hasn't been reproducible locally. It will be closed shortly if no response to the questions above is received. |
