try (as root) echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend It sounds like it's being put to sleep because it thinks it's idle, and doesn't wake back up. (In reply to comment #1) > try (as root) echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend > > It sounds like it's being put to sleep because it thinks it's idle, and doesn't > wake back up. Ok, tried that, no effect. Problem is still exactly as reported. For what it's worth I think it's waiting for something to happen which would explain why I can't logout ( I have to reboot ) Just upgraded to kernel 2.6.38.8-35. Still the same. Played around a bit more. The problem appears to be triggered by the Pen (stylus). I can move the cursor about with touch without locking things up although it's position is a bit random even after I changed the mode from absolute to relative. Correction, I can move the cursor about for much longer with touch before it too stops responding. Additional info. In the original report when I say it stops working I mean the cursor on the screen no longer responds to input from the tablet, the tablet itself is responding to to touch and stylus inputs. Upgraded to Kernel 2.6.40.3-0.fc15.i686.PAE. Still the same. Is this still happening on 2.6.43/3.3 in F15/F16? (In reply to comment #7) > Is this still happening on 2.6.43/3.3 in F15/F16? I've just tried it again in F15 kernel is 2.6.43.5 same old problem. # Mass update to all open bugs. Kernel 3.6.2-1.fc16 has just been pushed to updates. This update is a significant rebase from the previous version. Please retest with this kernel, and let us know if your problem has been fixed. In the event that you have upgraded to a newer release and the bug you reported is still present, please change the version field to the newest release you have encountered the issue with. Before doing so, please ensure you are testing the latest kernel update in that release and attach any new and relevant information you may have gathered. If you are not the original bug reporter and you still experience this bug, please file a new report, as it is possible that you may be seeing a different problem. (Please don't clone this bug, a fresh bug referencing this bug in the comment is sufficient). Tested on Kernel 3.6.3-1.fc17 all is good. Thank you. Thanks for letting us know. |
