Description Peter Gordon 2011-07-12 02:10:39 UTC
Hello, Andreas.

Upstream released version 0.8.0 of Almanah Diary in mid-April (almost three months ago). I would very much appreciate this being bumped in Fedora 15 and Rawhide.

Major changes in this version included a port to GTK+ 3 and GSettings (which also means it can't go into Fedora 14), and an update to work with the new E-D-S libraries, both of which remove the need for the patches already in Fedora GIT.

If it helps, I have posted a preliminary updated spec file on my FedoraPeople webspace: http://pgordon.fedorapeople.org/almanah.spec

Thank you.

Hello Peter,
sorry for taking this long to reply.
I'll have the update committed this week (Thu) -- not at home right now.
Thanks for providing me with an updated specfile! Last time I checked, I was facing some gtk3-related problems when trying to compile the updated package and lacked the time to tackle them.

- Andreas

Andreas, What is the status of this update please? If there is anything I can do from my end, please just let me know. :) Thanks.

Hello, Andreas.

I see that Tom Callaway updated Almanah in Rawhide to 0.8.0 on August 5. However, he did not remove the two patches (libedataserverui-3.0.patch and gtk3.patch) which it obsoletes; and that update was only in Rawhide, not for Fedora 15/16.

Could you please sync the Fedora 15 and 16 branches with the 0.8.0 in Rawhide? As I mentioned, if there is anything I can do to help this process along, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you. :)
