Can you attach a screenshot and /tmp/X.log to this bug report? Created attachment 525022 [details]
Xorg.0.log from first boot of the installed system
The same thing happens on my system. I don't know how to access /tmp/X.log from the installation run, but am attaching an Xorg.0.log file from the first boot of my installed system. On that first boot, the display behaves identically to the installation run, with what appears to be the identical offset. Changing the display mode from 1440x900 @ 60Hz (the preferred mode) to any other available mode eliminates the problem. I assume that if the display mode could be changed during installation, this would correct the installation run problem as well.
The problem is not new to Fedora 15; I encountered the same situation with the Fedora 12 and 14 installation disks.
If I'm interpreting this page correctly, it appears that the original reporter has not responded to the request for information. Since I am very interested in resolving this bug, I would be happy to provide any additional information if requested. I have not attached a screenshot because the screenshot (obtained via the PrintScreen key) is normal. However, the display of that screen is displaced to the right so that the rightmost two inches falls off the monitor.
