Description wes hayutin 2011-07-12 18:17:47 UTC
Description of problem:

A bug just to track the status of whether or not a RHEL 6.1 jeos image will be created for the beta.

Also will be used to track the testing of the jeos image

Comment 1 Ian McLeod 2011-07-14 21:18:49 UTC
This is now available on EC2 and enabled in the package currently found here:

http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/aeolus/image-factory/testing/

http://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/aeolus/image-factory/testing/packages/fedora-14/noarch/imagefactory-0.3.1_2_g9b179b9-1.fc14.noarch.rpm

This actually contains code that uses the existing hourly-charge RHEL 6 images (both 6.0 and 6.1) as the basis for snapshot builds.

Please give it a go. (SRPM is also present if you need to rebuild for RHEL 6)

factory log

Hey Ian,
The RHEL 6.1 build worked and I am able to start an instance. I did get the following message in the factory log.

perms/.bind.5xCRGe","security.selinux") failed: Permission denied (13)\nrsync: rsync_xal_set: lsetxattr("selinux/class/netlink_socket/perms/.connect.F3Chhx","security.selinux") failed: Permission denied (13

I'd like you you to take a quick look.

Wes,

That error occurs in the bundling step when the euca-bundle-vol command is attempting to rsync the entire live filesystem onto a loopback device.

I've seen it a number of times and it appears to be benign. The resulting snapshot images are fully functional.
