Description Scott McCarty 2011-07-12 22:24:16 UTC
Description of problem:
system-config-firewall does not allow user to specify which eth interface, only displays eth+ which will apply rule to all interfaces. Works fine in the GUI, because it is a tree structure which can be expanded.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
6.1

How reproducible:
Very easy

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run system-config-firewall
2. Buttons: Customize -> Forward -> Forward

Actual results:
eth+ shows in interface, cannot expand to show individual interfaces

Expected results:
Should expand or show all interfaces automagically

This bug makes it impossible to use the utility to set up masquerading in a typical scenario with two Ethernet ports for internal and external networks. Is there any expectation that this bug will ever be fixed?
