Package: cheese-3.0.1-2.fc15 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- When I started using cheese-3.0.1, I noticed some strange behavior. For example, my iSight integrated webcam did not display in 640x480; instead, it gave a black screen which has been reported in Bug 689995 with earlier version of cheese (2.91). Running the program through the terminal kept giving me: GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_element_set_state: assertion `GST_IS_ELEMENT (element)' failed ** (cheese:7459): WARNING **: Internal data flow problem. And later displayed the plugins being loaded. As reported in Bug 699912, once I switched to a lower resolution, I could put the higher resolution up without the program crashing. However, none of the effects worked. I suspect it is a problem in the Gstreamer plugins, since the gstreamer0.10-mpeg from rpmfusion runs correctly, and so do the normal audio codecs. This crash happened after I had switched to lower resolutions and tried to use effects. I have been able to reproduce consistently. 1: Start cheese with my iSight webcam at 352x288 2: Click on the effects icon 3: Choose any effect. Laptop: Macbook 2,1 w. Fedora 15 i686 gnome-shell; integrated iSight webcam.
